Does Assouline offer gift wrapping? 

  • Yes, we offer signature gift wrapping on our books and candles. When this option is selected, products are wrapped in a special white matte gift wrapping paper – sourced specifically by the Assouline family and sealed with the brand’s signature wax seal for the final touch of luxury. You also have the option of including a personalized message during checkout. 
  • Gift wrapping is not available for items on pre-order, A-bookstands, Library Collection Objects or Ultimate Towers. 
  • Complimentary gift wrapping is available on the Ultimate Collection titles and our Gift Sets. Please note that each item within the gift set is individually wrapped to preserve its presentation; items cannot be wrapped together. 

Does Assouline offer gift notes? 

  • Yes. You can add a complimentary gift note at checkout—please note that we provide one gift note per order. 
  • If you’re sending gifts to multiple recipients and would like each to receive their own note, we recommend using the Multi-Ship option at checkout. This allows you to ship to multiple addresses in one transaction, with each recipient receiving a dedicated gift note. 

 

How do I add gift wrapping to an item? 

  • Signature gift wrapping may be added directly on the product detail page or during checkout by selecting the Gift Wrap option. If the option does not appear, the item is not eligible for gift wrapping at this time. 
  • Due to demand, gift wrap is not available on orders placed between December 11-December 31, 2025. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience. 

 

Can I return or exchange an item gifted to me by someone else? 

  • Unfortunately, we do not allow returns or exchanges on gifted items. 

 

Does Assouline offer corporate gifting? 

  • Yes. Assouline provides tailored corporate gifting solutions for orders above a certain threshold. For more information, we invite you to visit our Corporate Gifting page, where you can submit an inquiry. 
  • If you’re looking to gift multiple recipients—whether 2 or 50—our gifting portal offers a seamless, elevated experience designed for scale. Upload your list of recipients and addresses, schedule deliveries in advance, add personalized messages, and track each shipment with ease to ensure every client receives a thoughtfully presented gift. 

Where can I purchase an Assouline gift card?

  • We do not offer traditional gift cards online; they can only be purchased in our boutiques. 
  • However, we offer something even more personalized for online gifting. By selecting the E-Gift option at checkout, you choose a title for your recipient, and they’ll receive a beautifully presented digital notification. From there, they can accept your selection or swap it for another title of equal value—ensuring they receive something they truly love. There’s no additional cost, and you can schedule the delivery via email or SMS at the perfect moment. 

Physical Gift Card Usage 

  • Gift cards purchased in the US are valid only at US Assouline boutiques or on Assouline.com.
  • The Maison Assouline London Gift Card is valid exclusively at our Piccadilly boutique.
  • The Assouline Paris Gift Card is valid exclusively at our Paris boutique.

 

Do gift cards expire? 

  • Gift Cards have no expiration date. The balance of the Card cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, except as required by law. Assouline will not replace lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged Gift Cards. 

What currencies can be used to purchase gift cards? 

  • Gift Cards may be purchased in stores with no fees in the following currencies: 
    • US Dollars (USD $)
    • British Pounds (GBP £)
    • Euros (EUR €)


Can Assouline help me select the right gift?

  • If you’re unsure what to gift someone, we’re here to help. Simply open the chat bubble on our site, and one of our associates will gladly guide you toward the perfect selection. 

Can I add a gift receipt to my order?

  • We do not offer separate gift receipts; however, our invoices do not include pricing, ensuring your recipient will not see any purchase details. 

How do I know which item is wrapped?

  • Each item is wrapped individually and labeled with a corresponding number. These numbers match the line items on your packing slip. For example, if you have five gift-wrapped items, each wrapped piece will display a number that aligns with its respective entry on the packing slip, making it easy to identify which item is which. 


What is E-Gifting? / What are E-Gifts?  

  • If you’re looking for a more flexible gifting option, we offer E-Gifting—a refined digital solution for moments when you’re unsure of the recipient’s preferences or need a thoughtful last-minute gesture. At checkout, you’ll select a title for your recipient; they’ll then receive a beautifully presented digital notification via email or SMS. 
  • E-Gifts can be delivered instantly or scheduled for a future date, and recipients have the option to accept your selection or exchange it for another title of equal value—ensuring they receive something they truly love.
